Forklift drivers need special knowledge and skills to fulfil their tasks. They undergo specific training and take a test. The level of this vocational training is specified in the SLA guidelines (Swiss Logistics Association - todays GS1).
Training for people who have experience with machines (e.g, tractor drivers, construction machine operators, truck drivers) requires a minimum of two days. Four days are required to train individuals who have no experience (e.g, newcomers and apprentices). The training course concludes with a theoretical and practical examination. If the outcome is successful, forklift training course participants receive a forklift operator license and a course confirmation.
CAMION TRANSPORT has been training its employees in the use of forklift trucks for many years. We make an active contribution to raising the occupational safety and personal protection levels for forklift truck drivers and other employees. The forklift truck driving school is recognized by the Swiss National Accident Insurance Fund (Suva). The training modules that we offer can also be attended by external candidates. The quality is guaranteed as the training schemes are monitored by Suva.
