Pedaled hard

There was a lot going on during the first day of the bicycle in Wil

The «Pedale 2019» was held on Saturday, 14 September. It was the first day of the bicycle show in Wil. There were various attractions spread through the city with regard to bicycles. We also had a stand, and exhibited our pilot project «Emission-free in the city centre» with. At the same time, we were able to broach the issue of «the blind spot» with a lorry.

The electric lorry and the cargo e-bike at the main entrance to the town market in Wil immediately attracted keen interest. The team from CAMION TRANSPORT were able to exchange views all day long with Pedale 2019 visitors. The cargo e-bike was particularly well-received. Several visitors also dared to take a test ride. Interested visitors also dared to drive the electric lorry, and were able to practically make sure that there are areas which road transport experts cannot see despite the mirror.

Overall the day was peppered with various attractions and surpassed the expectations of the organising committee. In addition to the cargo e-bike, the Pedale 2019 guests were also able to admire and test drive other unusual bicycles and bicycle-like vehicles. Different offers of street food invited visitors to linger. Dealers presented bicycling innovations, and the topic was artistically addressed in a few shop windows. Various activities on one or more bicycles called for the balance, skill and patience of visitors. Show performances such as the performance by multiple award-winning unicycle professional Lukas Hilfiker and the artistic cycling show by Cycling Formation rounded off the successful day.
