Now also in the Basel border triangle.

With the city logistics concept «Emission-free to the city centre», we are now also gathering experience in the Basel border triangle.

For around the last two months, Kurierzentrale GmbH has been our partner for the last mile here. There were only a few weeks between the first discussion of a possible collaboration and the start. Our concept of the emission-free supply of the city centre was key to Kurierzentrale’s interest.

The connection for the data exchange was implemented within a short time. Cargo eBike(Armadillo model) and Cargo eScooter (vRBike model), the two electrically operated pick-up vehicles from the St. Gallen pilot, are currently in use in Basel.

On 30 October 2019, we presented our concept «Emission-free to the city centre» in Basel to the regional press, public authority members of the canton and the city of Basel, interested associations and customers. A few representatives of the specialised press were also present for a follow-up of St. Gallen.

As guest speaker, Luca Olivieri, goods traffic project manager of the Office of Mobility of the canton of Basel-Stadt, spoke about the Basel-Stadt goods traffic concept, as well as about superordinate objectives, measures and action areas. Jérôme Thiriet, CEO of Kurierzentrale GmbH, provided insight into its work as one of Switzerland’s oldest bicycle courier services. In the CAMION TRANSPORT part, the guests mainly received information about experiences and findings so far from the pilot phase in St. Gallen.
