On Saturday, 9 May 2020, an Antonov An-124 glides surprisingly quiet over Northern Switzerland and arrives at Zurich Airport shortly before 8:30 pm. The cargo compartment of the impressive transport aircraft was filled with 700 m3 of medical protective and hygiene products. The nose of the aircraft can be opened which facilitates unloading of the numerous packages.
On Sunday morning, 470 pallets are picked up by four lorries of CAMION TRANSPORT and transported to the Rümlang location every half hour. There, the goods are loaded into rail wagons by three employees. The goods are then transported by rail overnight to the brench Léman where they are stored for a few weeks before being forwarded to hospitals in the region.
