The family-owned company Hänger has been active at the Basel freight station for almost 125 years and made a name for itself early on in the special handling sector of the freight forwarding industry. One of the main businesses is the loading and unloading of overseas containers and the handling of heavy and complex goods. However, redevelopment of the area includes a residential project being built at its current location, forcing a rethink and reorientation.
In discussions with Karin Ruppen-Hänger, Managing Director, and Fritz Hänger, owner, it quickly became clear that we complement each other wonderfully with our activities, and can pool our expertise and leverage synergies – we want to grow together.
In concrete terms, we will be taking over Hänger’s activities as of 1 January 2024, as well as all employees and the forklift fleet with 13 different forklifts including a 10-tonne heavy-duty forklift.
Just a few more months, then the Hänger team will join us. We are very much looking forward to it and already extend a warm welcome to our new colleagues!
