The Eidgenössische Schwing- und Älplerfest, or Federal Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival, takes place in a different region of Switzerland every three years. This time, it’s Glarus’ turn to play host. We have demonstrated our connection to the sport of Swiss wrestling many times as a logistics partner. We were a partner at ESAF 2013, which was held in Burgdorf, and other regional Swiss wrestling festivals have also been able to count on our support. This year’s Swiss wrestling festival takes place in Mollis from 29 to 31 August.
Our role
We’ll be doing what we’re known and valued for: Processing transport orders for ESAF. This includes, for instance, six kilometres of protective fencing, timber elements for the Gabentempel (where prizes are displayed) and other materials for the event site. Shared values such as tradition, a down-to-earth attitude, trust and vision connect us with this traditional sport. The «Edelweiss» articulated lorry with the Swiss wrestling image on the tarp was specially designed for the event. It highlights our dedication and catches plenty of eyes on the roads of Switzerland. The lorry will spend the full duration of the festival on the festival mile along the airstrip, acting as advertising. A lorry racing simulator in the trailer will give visitors a realistic lorry-driving experience. Be sure to stop by!
